Return Policy

Everything we sell at ABC Carpet is the best quality at the best value for our Customers. We stand behind everything we sell as we have since our founder started selling carpets in 1897.

We want you to be the final judge of the quality and the appropriateness in your home. If you are not satisfied with your purchase please return it to us in the same condition it was received.


Return Policy and Procedures

At ABC Carpet, your satisfaction is important to us. We realize that it is sometimes necessary to return items due to color or size etc. Our return policy is as follows:
  • Items may be returned within 7 days upon receipt for a full refund. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, ABC will gladly send a Return Merchandise Authorization upon request however, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange for shipment and incur the cost of such shipment. Please be aware that receipt of a full refund expires after 7 days of the customer receiving the item. It is our requirement that the rug is back in the store within 7 days
  • Items may be exchanged within 7-15 days upon receipt however, a 10% restocking fee will be charged at this time based on the retail price of the item. Items exchanged within this time period will be issued a credit for the remaining value of the merchandise which can only be used for online Carpet exchanges.
  • Items may be exchanged within 15-21 days upon receipt however, a 20% restocking fee will be charged at this time based on the retail price of the item. Items exchanged within this time period will be issued a credit for the remaining value of the merchandise which can only be used for online Carpet exchanges. Items may not be returned or exchanged after this period of 21 days for any reason.
Damaged Items

Please note that all items must be returned in the same showroom condition that it was received. We will not accept back used or soiled merchandise. However, we will gladly accept the return of any merchandise that may have been damaged during shipping. To return a damaged item please file your claim within 48 hours of receipt of the item by contacting ABC at ruginfo@abchome.com to notify us of the situation.


There are two ways to return merchandise:

1. Returns or Exchanges at Our Stores- All items being returned to a store location MUST be issued a valid Return Merchandise number via email from ruginfo@abchome.com. An item will not be taken back into the store without this confirmation. You can visit any ABC Carpet store to return a Carpet purchased online. Please make sure to bring your email order printed out with you when you visit for quickest service. All in store returns will be issued a receipt at the time of return that confirms ABC has taken the purchased merchandise back into posession. Unfortunately, credit cannot be issued back at the site of return but can be verified within 3-5 business days.

2. Returns or Exchanges by Mail - You MUST have a valid Return Merchandise Number in order to return any merchandise. You can request a Return Merchandise Number via email at ruginfo@abchome.com. After your return authorization has been approved and sent, you may ship the rug back to ABC Carpet, 888 Broadway New York 10003 to the attention of the 6th floor internet store. Once we have received your merchandise back in showroom condition, we will credit you in the original method of payment which can be verified, in most cases, within 3-5 business days.

We are sorry but special services such as shipping, padding, custom sized carpets and our carpet stain remover are not refundable. We do ask that you include all tags in the return shipment of an item. Please be aware that rugs purchased online cannot be returned to any location outside the U.S.A
